Based on feedback, some students prefer having Teammates that are closer to their year of study. As such, some Teams are prioritized based on which year of study you are in. However, if there is only one Team time that you can attend and it does not align with the year you are in, you are more than welcome to join that Team anyway:)

Requirements:
You must be able to attend the first meeting and be able to attend all the meetings in this series. If you know ahead of time that you have to miss a meeting let us know. If you miss more than 2 meetings we will check in with you to discuss your team involvement.

Your team, with you all term πŸ’›

What’s a REAL Team anyway?
A Team is a committed group of students who support each other throughout the term on what every goals matters to them most, whether that be social, personal or academic.

Your Team will be a place where you have the opportunity to share & ask for feedback from other Luminaries when encountering & navigating challenges.

This is a space for you to just be you, in an atmosphere of empathy, trust, reliability, honesty, & connection.

Some of your Team meetings are self-run & some are hosted by Mack or Flo.

Lastly, Teams are fun, this is a no-stress, let your worries be free kinda time.

β€œBeing on a REAL team this semester might have saved me from feeling burnt out. I think it really provided me with a place to just kind of ground myself, let everything go, and just be present with these people who are not judgmental of what I'll be saying - being people who will ask questions, people who will care, people that will just be present in a way that you don't really get any more from people in other settings.”

β€œA lot of times we don't know what or how people think about you, but in these Teams, people are sharing how they feel about you. And I feel that's really valuable because they actually do care about you. I had not met anyone in person before, and a lot of times it was the first time I was talking to them. But I felt really comfortable sharing all my successes and challenges with them. I knew they were very supportive, which was really great. I really loved it, and I hope to do it more often in the future.”

β€œI can say with 10000000% certainty I was better off with having REAL Team sessions this semester! They allowed me to critically think about so many aspects of my life and I opened up to new ways of thinking when facing a problem or when feeling emotionally reactive.”
