REAL Teams
Fall 2023
A group of six to ten students who meet with their peers every two weeks for 90 minutes either on a campus or online. This committed group of students supports each other to be accountable for their personal and social goals for the term. They do so through the use of models and activities they learned in the REAL Training (like the Check-in Process and the Satir Iceberg).
Students have the opportunity to share & ask for feedback from their Team when encountering & navigating challenges through activities like the Peer Council. Half of the meetings are self-run & half are facilitated by Mack or Flo to deepen engagement. Teams create and maintain an atmosphere of empathy, trust, reliability, honesty, & connection - which bolsters students’ collective well-being.

“I can say with 10000000% certainty I was better off with having REAL Team sessions this semester! They allowed me to critically think about so many aspects of my life and I opened up to new ways of thinking when facing a problem or when feeling emotionally reactive.”
